The spirit behind my story
My name is Annika Sala, I was born and raised in Cancún, Mexico. I come from a rich multicultural heritage-my father is Mexican, and my mother has both German and Dutch roots. This blend of cultures has profoundly shaped who I am, enriching my perspective and enhancing my versatility as an artist.
I have a deep connection with myself, and this self-awareness is the foundation of my work. It drives me to create with precision, authenticity, focus and attention to detail. Improvisation is second nature to me, as I trust my instincts and embrace the freedom of spontaneous expression. For me every project is a journey guided by my heart and spirit, where I strive to craft something truly unique and meaningful.

About
Born on the beautiful beaches of Cancun/ Mexico, and now calling Hamburg home, I am a passionate actress, stunt fight performer, and filmmaker. With a diverse career spanning commercials for brands like Volkswagen and ESN, music videos such as “Love on a Budget” and “Queen” and stage performances with the Hafen Revue Theater in Bremen, I bring energy and dedication to everything I do. I have also produced two short films where I have been the main role and took part in several others, including Movie Productions “The Golden Empire”, “Solon” and “Der Frosch und das Wasser”. Behind the scenes I was working among other projects for “The last Kumite” and “Make Me Feel”. Whether on screen, stage, or behind the scenes, I pour my heart into my craft.
My Approach
Every day the first thing that I do and the last thing that I do is to remember what I want from life, and what my dream is. I am actually living my dream. Maybe for you it sounds a bit big, but I want to change the world by being an inspiration for people that life is worth living, to believe in yourself and to follow your dreams. I truly want to tell stories that need to be heard, I want to be the voice for those who are unable to speak and I want to plant a seed in the audience hearts that helps them discover more of themselves.

„From the first frame on I noticed Annika with script in hand being everywhere at once effortlessly wrangling not only the crew but also all of us actors to the positions and readied every single shot till “Action” was called.
There wasn´t a scene where Annika didn´t set the stage, helped with the dialogue, or redirected actors in their performance if the director had any notes. All suggestions made by her other than those directed by the director himself were immediately respected by the cast. It came to the point where the director himself would ask Annika´s opinion on how to work on the performance and how to convey it to the actors the right way. Her feedback became vital to each and every scene which made me believe that Annika herself would or will be a fantastic director herself.
I assume that her acting background was an immense advantage for working with actors and seeing performances in a different light which gives her the right insights to make valid suggestions to cast and crew.
